A strong and solid business foundation is Crucial to Your Success in the arena of Internet Marketing. You have all heard the stories about the three little pigs, right! The analogy is fitting for most endeavors in life, and especially in the ultra competive world of Internet Marketing. Having that strong business foundation is critical so that you can prevail when times are rough.

All internet companies tell a good story while trying to recruit you into their business. But what they fail to tell you, or just choose not to can be the difference of making a good informed educated decision or a lucky guess. I know which choice you choose, but without all the information it is next to impossible to be certain.

Here are some good pointers to consider:
If they tell you that you can make $250,000.00 your first year ---RUN!! Sure there are select few that do, but the reason they do is that they have been in the business for 4-6 years, have created an enormous data base of leads and when they change companies,, which they do regurally,, (this is called Churning) they invite their list and the truth is a certain percentage will follow them. Instant success, that actually took 4-6 years.. This is truly misleading the prospects and borders on Unethical. So stay away from them!

Another group to avoid is the new start ups. They are usually just a variation of another system that failed and their whole intention is to sign up as many people as possible, take your money and leave you to struggle on your own. Don't join any company that isnt at least two years old.

All companies offer "great training", but do not be decieved. Imagine you are a new consultant and you go into your back office and there are 20 to 30 different marketing training possiblilities. Its a forest and you have no idea of what to do first and in what order there after. It is mass confusion! What is really needed and helpful is personal mentoring from someone that has been successful. Someone to mentor and guide your marketing in a direction that is right for you and your budget. The most important ingrediant to your success is having a mentor on your side.

What it all boils down to in internet marketing is generating leads for free or very low cost, and then building relationships with your clients. The fact is No One will join your opportunity because of the great website, training, ect. People only join those that they precieve as a Leader and a Mentor. In order that people should precieve you this way it is imperative that you begin building a relationship with them. People do not join other companies, they join other people. So, it will be important for you to personally call each of your leads to start building that relationship.

In closing, 97% of new business's fail within their first three years. Its always because of under capitalization. They simply never learn how to Market and they spend too much on purchasing advertisement and buying email list, postcards and other mass marketing. So if you really want to be sucessful in your business it is imperative that you build that strong foundation. Learn the correct way to get quality leads for free or at low cost. Then you must follow up to begin building a relationship.
